Tasmanian Huon Pine Oyster Shuckers

The Tasmanian oyster shuckers are produced using local timbers. They have hand turned timber handles and stainless steel blades. The different timbers are shown in this order: Huon Pine, Blackwood, Sassafras and Myrtle

Huon Pine is generally yellowish in colour, but with quite a variety of shades and features.

Myrtle is the red timber. It can range from a very light pinkish colour to a full dark red.

Sassafras has the most features grain patterns. Black, brown, yellow, orange. Some is light grey with black features (spalted.)

Blackwood is brown but can have more yellowish or reddish undertones to that.
