The nose has brambly boysenberry and purple cherry fruits, some maraschino, fresh leather and soy sauce, along with quite assertive toasty oak. The palate opens smooth and velvety, then builds through to convincing and fleshy dark-cherry fruit - good weight and length, with great drive and poise through the finish.
